I came home from some meetings this weekend, tucked the kids in bed. Crawled into bed beside Nathan. He looked at me and said, Don’t cry. Uh oh. These two words open up to all possibilities of questions and conclusions. He told me while I was gone, he took the training wheels off of Morgan and Dallin’s bikes’. Nathan knew what that meant to me. No more diapers. No more potty training. No more naps. No more bottles. No more safety gates. No more sippy cups. Now. No more training wheels. My babies are learning independence every day. They are growing up. Sometimes I am okay with this, somedays not. This is all that’s left of co-dependence on the floor. Morgan said she loves her bike now, she feels much better on it now. The training wheels were holding her back. It shows. She looks like she has been riding for years. Dallin too. What happened to running beside them holding the seat?! Fast learners. . sniff.. sniff.. ![]()
