1st day of school 2010

This summer has gone way too fast for our family! I guess that means we are busy. I also have soo much catching up to do. Somedays I wish I could add more hours to the day. This morning I woke up early to be prepared for the 1st day of school. It went very smoothly, I didn’t cry as much as I thought. Perhaps it’s because the schools are familiar, and we know there are some friends in the classes. Shavon was up and ready quickly, she LOVES school. Her enthusiasm for learning is inspiring. I had to wake Morgs up from our cozy, warm bed. She did great in getting ready  for the first day of 1st grade. She would rather stay home though. I walked her to the bus stop and the bus arrived just as we did. As I was walking home, I passed a few children walking to the bus stop, and counted my blessings we didn’t miss it the first day. Just me and Little man all day. I love it. Am I the only mother who doesn’t want my kids to grow up? Just freeze time for a little while.

What cute girls! I agree with you about freezing time. There are just some things in life that I wish I could bottle up and then many years down the road...open that bottle and FEEL those moments all over again.
